Description:
This fast diesel trawler is especially great for any area with shallow water like the Florida Keys, the West Coast of Florida, or the Bahamas. With Volvo outdrives this yacht can travel in shallow areas with only 3' 2" draft, and the outdrives can tilt up if needed. Fast cruising at 25 knots, or slow trawlering at 8 knots with low fuel consumption, makes this a versatile cruiser. Classic trawler style, with all teak interior will appeal to the traditional yachtsman. The standard bow thruster will make docking and handling by a couple an ease.



Accommodations
The main salon has a settee with high low teak coffee table and entertainment center. The windows are large enough to give the boat a bright an airy feeling. The lower station, with full instrumentation and electronics, has a sliding door to the side for easy access to the deck when docking. Another sliding door to port and a sliding door aft will give nice ventilation without air conditioning, along with overhead hatches. With the engines aft, there is a tremendous storage area below the cabin sole.

The floors are all teak and holly, and the entire interior is satin finish teak.
Down a few steps will lead to the galley, with good counter space and plentiful storage. For meal preparation is a Seaward three burner stove, a 14 cubic foot stainless refrigerator, and a microwave/ convection oven. Across from the galley is a convertible dinette that will drop down to make a double berth. Forward is a centerline queen berth with head and stall shower. A Splendide washer dryer is located in the galley for convenience. The whole layout is designed for two people to have plenty of room aboard, but small enough for only a crew of two.

Access to the engine room is from three oversize hatches with gas assists on the back deck. There is an ample amount of room on both sides of the engines, between the engines and the front also for care and maintenance.

Flybridge
Although the lower station has great visibility, the flybridge with Bimini top is available for open air cruising, with two Springfield helm chairs and bench seating for guests. There are full electronic repeaters for navigation. A unique design mast for the radar doubles as a davit for the 10' dinghy, a Mercury Dynamic 310 Hypalon RIB with 9.9 Hp Mercury four stroke outboard.



The Island Pilot 395 is another project from Ruben Trane, builder of the hybrid power Island Pilot, the Krogen express and other innovative designs.. Top speed is the boat new is 39 MPH, but with these Volvo D6 diesels the boat can run at slower speeds for long range. Some boaters may not like Inboard/Outboard engines in this size, but these precursors to the Volvo IPS pod drives add great versatility to the boat. The greatest advantage for Florida boaters or boaters who live in areas where the waters are shallow is the minimum draft. Plus the outdrives can kick up if an object is struck, a feature not possible with straight inboard shafts and IPS drives. This barely used boat is a wonderful size for a couple to cruise on an almost new boat, without the wait and new boat price.
