The SkyMate satellite communicator, software, and service package—which quite impressed me back in 2003—has since won the affection of many cruisers with its simple suite of e-mail, weather, and off-boat monitoring. The new $1,299 200 package adds a copy of Nobeltec’s eChart Mariner and a built-in GPS, which makes installation of both products even easier.
