The Chart Master features a six-inch-wide, 16:9 aspect-ratio display that’s good for showing nav or sonar data alongside a chart and may also fit well at some helms. And it’s the first C-Map plotter I’ve seen with Screen Amplifier, a simple feature (shown) that keeps your stern at the edge of the screen and thus lets you see more chart ahead. I found the plotter fast but wished it made more use of its five soft keys. I also wished for more choices in terms of data display and fonts, but other users might welcome the same lack of choices. $1,600.
