So
how do you deal with your shore-power cord? I mean on the dock, to keep
it from falling in the water. Wind it around the pedestal a few times
before plugging in? Tie it in a big overhand knot? Forget about all this
goofiness, at least where wooden docks are concerned. Marinco’s Cable
Clips tame and organize pesky and/or unmanageable shore-power cords.
Made
of tough plastic that’s warrantied for five years, these babies are
designed to maintain a steady grip on a 10-gauge, 30-amp cord but will
turn it loose via a slight, purposeful tug. They install easily enough
with a power drill and stainless steel screws (included).
Pricing
for a package of six clips was not available at presstime. However, they
worked so nicely on my dock, I called Marinco to see if it couldn’t
make some clips for my water hose, too. The company said it would give
it some serious thought. —Capt. Bill Pike
