Having the right cutting tool aboard won’t do you much good if it isn’t sharp. I often use a stone, honing tool, or file, depending on the need. Now I’ve found something else I can add to my collection of gear.

The Model L Pak sharpening system from EZE-LAP Diamond Products fits easily into any size toolbox or even a shirt or back pocket and offers medium, fine, and super-fine grits.

The medium (400-grit) diamond sharpener is good for knives and scissors. In fact, I was easily able to put the snip back in a dull pair in just a few moments. After working with both the medium and fine (600-grit) sharpeners on a favorite knife, I finished the blade off with the super-fine 1,200-grit and got a razor-sharp edge.

This compact threesome provides an additional sharpening system when getting that good edge back is necessary.—K.K.
