Based out of the U.K., Tim has a lifetime of experience running and writing about boats. For more than ten years, he served as the technical editor of Motor Boat and Yachting—the UK’s leading powerboat magazine. Since leaving that position in 1997, he has penned articles for various boating publications, including Power & Motoryacht’s sister magazine, Sail. In his “spare time,” Tim has written some 14 boating books, with topics ranging from celestial navigation to outboards. Most recently he co-authored the Complete Powerboating Manual, which covers everything from hull types to the rules of the road. Tim is a Fellow of the Royal Institute of Navigation, a Yachtmaster Instructor for the Royal Yachting Association (RYA), an RYA Advanced Powerboat Trainer, and more.
