Sunset
is a special time for boaters. After a full day of cruising, it signals
that it’s time for a break. And if the break you have in mind does
not involve saltines and sardines, have we got the places for you.
Here’s
a scratch-the-surface list of 20 fine-dining establishments with their
own docks or nearby marinas, grouped according to region. Some are white-tablecloth
places with awe-inspiring wine lists. And some can be best described as
casually elegant. But all furnish weary boaters with terrific service,
delectable food, and a rejuvenating sunset. Call ahead for docking instructions,
water levels, etc. Then prepare to indulge. (Note that all prices given
are the cost of one meal, excluding drinks, tax, and tip.)
