During a recent mid-June fishing trip, PMY editor in chief Richard Thiel and publisher Dennis O'Neill, plus Don Depouw and Jim Viestenz, vice president and president of Cruisers Yachts, respectively, got up close and personal with this shark. PMY senior editor Patrick Sciacca, who was also onboard that day, estimates weighed in at around 160 pounds. The group, who chartered a 43-foot Viking Express, caught a bunch of other fish that day, including another blue shark of similar size and a whole slew of bluefish. Not bad!
