At the Miami Boat Show, Kicker Audio introduced the MSLC, a new RGBW LED light controller designed to streamline the marine lighting and audio experience. This device addresses two of the most persistent challenges in marine electronics: unwanted audio interference and insufficient power management.
Clean Sound and High Power
Modern boating environments require lighting and audio to work in perfect harmony, yet many traditional controllers introduce “unwanted sound” into the vessel’s audio system. The MSLC solves this by operating at an ultrasonic frequency that is completely outside the range of human hearing.
In addition to ensuring sonic purity, the MSLC delivers 300 watts of continuous power. This high capacity allows a single controller to manage the lighting for an entire boat, significantly reducing design complexity and the total number of controllers required for an installation.
Simplified Control at Your Fingertips
Kicker has also simplified the user interface by removing the dependency on mobile apps and data access. Instead, the MSLC utilizes a wired, dash-mounted knob that provides instant access to lighting adjustments. A simple rotation of the knob allows users to cycle through colors and manage settings without the need for constant app updates.
Precision Audio with M-Class Speakers
To complement the new lighting control, Kicker also showcased its M-Class speaker line. These speakers are engineered for sonic accuracy and “nuanced perfection” using high-quality components, including:
- 28mm Teteron dome tweeters
- Carbon-fiber injection-molded mid-range cones
- Larger voice coils for enhanced sound performance
