As of late, Fairline has been pumping out new models with a fervor not often seen in the yachting industry. It seems that every time you turn around, there is another new boat splashing, or another press release arriving that heralds the upcoming launch of an even newer member of the Fairline fleet. It’s quite impressive, really. And since Fairline exists in the real world, and is subject to the laws therein, we can only surmise one thing: The supply is meeting a demand. And that demand is easy to understand.

Take the Squadron 60, for example, which debuted at last year’s boat show in Cannes, and will be in the States this year. The boat, which is part of the company’s flying-bridge series, should be quite popular for more than a few reasons, not the least of which should be her fit and finish, which Fairline is starting to get down to a science. Its boats lately have been pieced together so snugly, and with such great attention to detail, that the interiors are becoming recognizably unique.

The three-cabin accommodations level on this boat should be a main point of interest, particularly the full-beam, amidships master stateroom. Another highlight is a guest cabin that can be fitted with either twin berths, or a sliding-berth configuration that can comfortably sleep three passengers.

Up top, an expansive flying bridge—a trait for which the Squadron line is oft noted—should also make owners smile. It will be replete with a sink, fridge, griddle, optional ice maker, and all sorts of other amenities to help keep guests fed, rested, and happy for the entirety of their stay. An expansive sunpad provides a good place to chill out after you’ve put all those things to their intended use.

When you feel like hitting dry land for a spell, the Squadron 60 offers a hydraulic swim platform that’s perfect for launching a tender. There’s also an optional letterbox passarelle should you find yourself docked stern-to in a beckoning port. It better be quite a town though, because you’d need good reason to leave this boat.
