We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.

Polish builder Galeon continues its push into the American market with its space-conscious, semi-customizable ensemble of yachts ranging from 32 to 78 feet. One of the company’s oldest and most successful models was the beloved 640 Fly, which the powers that be at Galeon recently decided needed an overhaul. The result is the 660 Fly, which will have a large, bright saloon—as Galeon fans may have come to expect—as well as four staterooms and three heads down below. As Galeon co-owner Jacek Kobyko charmingly put it to me via e-mail, the 660 Fly will be “free of outdated items and in harmony with Galeon’s high standards.” I’ve crawled all over Galeon boats in the past, and I can tell you this: If you’re not familiar with them yet, you soon will be.
Launch Date: September 2014
