New renderings are just in of MJM Yachts’ new 38RS. The North Carolina builder will be showing the boat at the Newport Boat Show in September and in October at the Fort Lauderdale show. We’re seeing a downeast styled family and fish-friendly cruiser with plenty to like. Unlike your standard center console, the 38RS will come with a comfortable 360-degree pilothouse with huge sliding windows to keep the weather out—or let it in. She’s got a 40-gallon island live well, dual insulated fish boxes, plenty of rod holders and transom doors that open flat against the gunwales to expand the fishing area to the swim platform. Dual Mercury 300 or 400’s should put your top speed in the 44 knot range while a 2’11 drives down draft will let you navigate suprisingly skinny water. We’ll let you know once we’ve had the chance to step onboard—and down below.
