The FLIR First Mate II MS-224b is a next-generation handheld thermal-imaging system. The device uses a lithium-ion battery to provide five to seven hours of use with its 240-by-180 VOx microbolometer detector. The MS-224b is less than 7 inches long and weighs less than 13 ounces.
InstAlert is the new technology added to the First Mate II line that displays the object with the strongest heat signature in red so it really stands out in an otherwise grayscale field of view. This could be a game-changing addition to an already useful tool for man-overboard and low-light situations.
All units in the FLIR First Mate II line are solidly built for all-weather use and come with a two-year warranty.
