#25: PARAFFIN—197’2″

When Michael Kittredge, founder of Yankee Candle Company, and his wife Lisa designed the interior of this yacht, they made sure she’d be able to handle either a weeklong charter with plenty of notice or just a large party with a mere day’s notice. As a result the dining room has a wine “cellar,” the aft main and bridge decks have outlets for electric guitars and other instruments, and a gym (complete with a steam room) can accommodate 12 people at once.

DID YOU KNOW…

—Paraffin has a climate-controlled wine “cellar” that can hold more than 400 bottles.

—Each en suite bath has heated mirrors and heated floors; the former prevents fogging, and the latter prevents rude awakenings before the first morning cup of coffee is consumed.

—In the owner’s suite, the “his” closet has drawers with automatically activated lights to prevent errors in sock selection.—D.M.B.
