#6: LONE RANGER—255’0″

Traditional white yachts aren’t for everybody—and they definitely aren’t for Peter Lewis, who bought this converted tug purposely because she was a vessel that was capable of world cruising and wouldn’t attract attention the way a more conventional-looking yacht would. During the decade that the Progressive insurance company founder has owned her, Lone Ranger has cruised the Great Lakes, the Caribbean, the Ionian and Aegean Seas, the Seychelles, the Solomon Islands, the Great Barrier Reef, and the Marquesas Islands. There are plenty of other areas she’s been to as well. One of her most recent stops was Stockholm in July, during the tall ship races hosted by the Scandinavian city.
