#12: CHRISTINA O—325’3″

Named for Christina Onassis, Christina O charters for 455,000 euro per week (about $620,000 at presstime). During her two-year restoration that wrapped up in 2001, more than 560 tons of steel and aluminum were replaced, besides the customary soft-good upgrades and replacements. Was the work worth it? Ask anyone who’s sipped bubbly at the aptly named Champagne Bar outside on her bridge deck, relaxed in the 715-square-foot Lapis Lounge (highlighted by a lapis lazuli fascia on the fireplace), or been shuttled to shore aboard one of her two 30-foot wooden HackerCraft tenders. Or consider that you can walk the same decks as everyone from Frank Sinatra and Maria Callas to Hugh Grant and P. Diddy have; the yacht’s been popular with the celebrity set since the days of Aristotle Onassis’ ownership.
