#17: TATOOSH—301’8″

Don’t think any less of Tatoosh if you read a news report referring to her as “Paul Allen’s other yacht” (see Octopus, no. 3), which is exactly what some members of the media have done. Shame on them; she’s just as lovely inside, with a wood sole stretching the length of her main entrance/elevator lobby, a limestone fireplace mantle in the main saloon, and silk wall panels in the dining room. We’d be remiss to overlook the poolside dining on deck, too. We’d be even more remiss if we didn’t mention the rumors that Allen is looking to sell Tatoosh, possibly to the Russian aluminum billionaire Oleg Deripaska, who’s related to the late Boris Yeltsin by marriage.
