On April 18, 1963, the weather ship Cumulus went into service in Holland, remaining as such until 1996; two years later she re-emerged as this private yacht, with a yellow hull and shippy character still intact. Jan Fernhout, a former radio officer who served onboard during her weather-ship service, has a great site devoted to her history, complete with recollections of his time aboard and photos.
