#23: ASEAN LADY—289’0″
Say what you will about Asean Lady‘s unusual two-hull design, but there’s proven principle behind it. Based on an outrigger canoe, it provides a more stable platform in some seas; in fact, the owner, Brian Chang (who also owns the yard which built her), got the idea while watching boats and ships rock and roll in big seas. Of course, it also permits commodious accommodations for 22 guests. Don’t discount her due to her single engine, either; a 600-hp retractable thruster can push her along at 7 knots if need be.
