Stand up paddleboarding in the waters off Maine. A great way to: A) get some good exercise, B) take in the sights of Monhegan Island, C) get a severe case of hypothermia when you fall off and land in the water (even in the summer). Seriously ladies, be careful.

The Island Inn is seen in the background, overlooking the harbor. The building was originally built in 1816 and expanded twice to accommodate more visitors—the last renovation was made in 1910. The Inn’s front porch faces west over Monehgan harbor, making it an ideal place to take in the sunset.
