2014 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show Special

The Hatteras GT70 was designed with Hatteras’s in-house design team working closely with existing GT owners to find out what exactly it was that people were looking for. What did they find? Well, for starters, the GT70 will be available with 2,600-horsepower MTU engines, giving prospective buyers the increase in power and speed over the GT63 that they were looking for. (They will also have the option to go with the standard 1,900-horsepower CAT C32 ACERTs).

If you’re looking at a Hatteras GT70, here are other boats at the show you might want to check out:
Ocean Makaira 64, Viking 70, Paul Mann 66 Lisa K

Buyer’s Guide:

The GT70 also ups the ante on accommodations over her little sister, offering a standard five-stateroom, four-head layout (that’s a lot of room for friends and family) with the option of a crew’s quarters as well if you really want to pack in the guests. For interior styling, the GT70 will go back to the company’s “traditional roots,” using classic teak in the interior woodwork. “Clean lines juxtaposed with modern and innovative products and materials,” is the overall design goal, according to Hatteras’s in-house interior designer Cullen Moser. “Boat interiors can suffer from rooms with brass fittings that make them look like a gentlemen’s club. Our customer feedback was—good, smart, contemporary design with custom furnishings that are durable and versatile for years of continued use. All elements are thoughtfully integrated into the GT70.” Sounds like a promising start to Hatteras’s latest.
