Time and moisture are formidable foes, especially when it comes to older boats. Editor-in-Chief Dan Harding learned this the hard way when this Spring he noticed his previous wooden salon table on his Bertram 28 was warped into the shape of a taco shell. Thanks to a friendly neighbor, and some sweat-equity, he was able to transform wood from a Hickory tree that once stood above a septic tank into a work of art for his salon. Look for the full story about a once “crappy tree” turned table in the June/July issue of Power & Motoryacht.
