As a college student, Paolo Vitelli rented sailboats while still in college but, when he launched Azimut to produce small fiberglass boats, he never foresaw a future building megayachts for the likes of Christina Onassis. As Azimut built on the success of its midsized sport boats like the AZ-34, the principle that inspired the company was to meet the needs of boat owners.

“A Yacht For Every Owner” has led to the creation of three collections of Azimut designs to fit a wide range of needs. The Flybridge series was the yard’s first, and is also the largest in numbers since it ranges from 40 feet to 100 feet. Known for the elliptical windows in the hull and house, Azimut now builds the largest range of flybridge motoryachts in the world.

The Azimut S series is sporty, with five models from 40 to 72 feet, and speeds up to 40 knots. The S series minimizes the separation of indoors and outdoors, allowing bright interiors with superb views as well as salons that open directly to the cockpit for a seamless transition.

The Magellano collection is the latest series, featuring modern and sophisticated long-range motoryachts for all weather conditions. With 50- and 74-footers (but soon to expand with new models), these yachts exhibit a new direction for Azimut with semi-displacement hulls, exceptional economy, and low emissions.
