If you’ve been paying attention, by now you must have realized that Fairline is absolutely cranking out new models, an impressive feat considering that lots of boat companies are still in cut-back mode. The British builder has been able to keep up these levels of productivity thanks to its popularity, which in turn is fueled by quality—both in design and production.

Case in point, the brand-new Targa 48 Open, which is just one of the three 48 models the company plans on introducing stateside in 2014.

The Targa will be powered by Volvo Penta diesels linked to IPS pod drives and have a new hull design that Fairline promises will help give her sporty, efficient, and reliable performance. Her lines should match her performance, as she looks both sleek and sturdy at once.

Onboard, the Targa will have two en suite staterooms that make her amenable to overnights, as well as a wide-open saloon perfect for socializing. A standard, electrically powered canvas roof overhead will keep the area shaded but also let light and breezes in whenever you want.

The swim platform will accommodate a jet tender, and also raise and lower for help with launching and retrieval.

This boat is still in the build phase but has already generated lots of excitement among fans of express cruisers in general and Fairlines in particular. And it’s easy to see why. Keep an eye out for her on the water next year. She shouldn’t be hard to miss—you are paying attention, aren’t you?
