Horizon E75

Our first look at the Horizon E75.

Jason’s Take: Horizon Yachts builds smart—the company’s designers create and hone a platform until it works really well, and then they make the most of it with innovative features and striking design elements. And smart boaters are responding.

When it comes to listening, Horizon Yachts might be the most attentive. Its designers talk to the people who matter to its success—boaters—and digest feedback from the experienced cruisers that own other boats in its ever-growing fleet. The result has taken shape most recently in the form of the E75.

This motoryacht riffs on the appearance of another recent Horizon success story, the E88, and offers either a skylounge or open bridge configuration. The boat deck will have an alfresco galley console and bar with the option to upgrade with a Jacuzzi. Horizon is also making the most of open foredeck space with an eight-seat dinette and large sunpads.

What else would experienced boaters want? The flexibility means the main deck can see a variety of treatments, while a three-stateroom layout can have either two or three heads. The master stateroom doesn’t skimp, of course, and spans the full beam with a walk-in locker and a his-and-hers en suite with both shower and tub.

Additional accommodations include a VIP forward and a convertible double. Don’t forget crew’s quarters aft, with full laundry facilities.

Just to give a better sense of how this platform can respond to the needs of an owner, hull no. 1 was built for the Australian market and has a skylounge, ABT bow and stern thrusters, zero-speed stabilizers, and the standard power package: a pair of Caterpillar C18s.

Hull no. 2 will be introduced at the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show in November, and will offer rousing performance, topping out at 27 knots, thanks to a pair of Caterpillar C32s. An amidship galley with country kitchen forward, a large custom window in the master, and increased fuel capacity all pique our interest.
