While Uniesse has a well-deserved reputation for sporty cruisers, they broke with tradition when they designed the new 55 Sport. The Uniesse team maintained the company design cues on the exterior with large windows and crisply styled lines, but it was the accommodations where they started with a blank sheet of paper.
Unlike many sport yachts that place the master stateroom aft and then try to wedge in more cabins forward, Uniesse reversed the order by giving the owner’s suite the entire forward third of the yacht, complete with a spacious en suite head with shower. This allowed for two comfortable staterooms amidships including a VIP with double berth, and both have private heads with showers.
The living area on the 55 Sport really extends from the windshield to the transom, since large doors open to the cockpit and, with the galley tucked to one side, the entire area is open for entertaining. The finish is typically Italian, combining flawlessly finished woods and supple leathers. Power for the new 55 Sport is a pair of 800-hp MAN diesels, that push the yacht along at 35 knots.
