2015 Fall Boat Shows
The view from the Regulator 41’s tower makes it a great bird-spotting platform.
And like everything else on the Regulator 41, the cockpit is oversized,
providing ample room to fight fish or entertain guests.
The Tiara Q44 garnered a lot of attention while on the fall show circuit.
The Q44’s forward sunpad arrangement lets guests relax, yet provides space
for a forward hatch and window that allows light to pour into the cabin.

President of MJM Yachts, Bob Johnstone shows off the hydraulic swim platform of the 50z,
which allows his wife to row her dinghy on and off the back.
U.S. Watercraft, which also builds True North Yachts, launched a seriously equipped fishing platform
in its new North Rip 30, which, as you can see, sports deep fishboxes.
The Hunt 32CC was another launch that was seemed to get a lot of attention
from coastal cruisers and serious fishermen alike.
It’s hard to stand out in the Riva section of the Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show,
but the 88 Florida did just that thanks to her sleek lines and unique convertible hardtop.
A new Ferretti gleams in the South Florida sun.
Ferretti announced that it’ll be debuting more than a dozen new models in the coming years.
Another boat that was widely talked about the fall shows was the MyBoatWorks project boat, Arawak, our very own Grand Banks 42. It was great to meet readers who were excited about this project
and hear about some of the restorations they’ve done.
Thousands of people stopped to take a picture of the quad outboards affixed to a 43 Midnight Express.
That includes us.
A handicap-accessible Midnight Express was designed and built for the company’s president.

The real star of the Lauderdale show was the revival of Bertram and the introduction of its upcoming model,
the new 35, which is based on the highly successful Bertram 31.
The fleet of Viking battlewagons continues to grow with the addition of its new 80, as well as the 75 Motor Yacht.
In the wake of losing her son at sea, Florida teenager Austin Stephanos, Carly Black and ACR Electronics
teamed up to form the Austin Blu Foundation, which aims to prevent similar at-sea tragedies.
While not actually being displayed at the show, buzz was building around the new line of Axopar day boats.
Look for this company to make quite the splash at Miami.
This year, more than any year past, underwater lighting flooded the various fall shows,
showing a trend towards their rising popularity.
