Italian megayacht-builder Benetti has had a busy fortnight with the launch of two megayachts.

The first at Benetti’s Livorno facility was the latest in John Staluppi’s line of James Bond-themed yachts, Diamonds are Forever. And the 61-meter (200-foot) yacht needed a launch party worthy of the British spy. Acrobats reenacted one of the movie’s fight scenes and stunt drivers raced Aston Martins through the scene while the theme song played.
Available soon for charter through Ocean Independence, 12 guests can sleep in 6 cabins. The aft sundeck doubles as a touch-and-go helipad.

Meanwhile back in Viareggio, the finishing touches were put on the latest 121-foot semicustom Benetti Classic, which launched yesterday. The semicustom design has been proven through previous builds, but the interior is fitted out to the owner’s wishes to make the yacht both comfortable and livable.
The contrast between the two yachts is unmistakable: custom versus semicustom. Classic versus modern exterior styling. And yet, both meet Benetti’s high standards for style.
