Posillipo Technema 120
A few years ago Gianfranco Rizzardi rescued the troubled Posillipo brand, jump-starting it with a new Technema 105-footer that, as the story goes, took just 700 days from inception to launch. Complementing the five existing models in the Technema line, ranging from 65 to 105 feet, Rizzardi now has this flying-bridge design in the works, a 120-foot flagship.
Wraparound pilothouse windows accentuate the grand proportions of her flying bridge: a sprawling full-beam deck that extends nearly half the length of the yacht, offering a variety of venues for savoring sunshine, fresh breezes, and a couple dozen of your closest friends. A retractable shade can be deployed to shelter the main seating and dining areas on the bridge deck.
Her interior is offered in two configurations. One locates the master stateroom forward on the main deck, with four generous guest staterooms arrayed around a central foyer on the lower deck. En suite heads serve as sound buffers, enhancing the privacy of each sleeping area. Crew staterooms are forward, with direct access to the galley, a separate lounge, and a generously proportioned stateroom for the captain.
An alternate layout offers a full-beam master stateroom with a his and her head amidships on the lower deck. Four modest staterooms are just forward, while crew accommodations are in the bow. In place of the main-deck master suite, the alternate layout offers a spacious lounge with wraparound windows that let guests enjoy the all-weather vistas in climate-controlled comfort. In either configuration, just aft of the galley, there’s a formal dining area adjoining an expansive saloon with big sliding glass panels that open onto an alfresco area on the covered aft deck.
A cavernous engine room houses 16-cylinder MTU Series 4000 diesels. Access is via a stairway that’s cleverly concealed in the bulwark at the aft starboard corner of the deckhouse. Another stairway opposite leads up to the flying bridge, letting crew move between decks without disturbing guests.
