We tested the Sunseeker 40 Portofino during a beautiful summer day on the Med. The twin 330-horsepower Volvo D6-330s featured on our test boat pushed the Portofino 40 to a top speed of just under 35 knots. With the optional twin 400-horsepower Volvo D6-400s we imagine she’d be even more fun.

While the galley may not be equipped for circumnavigation, that’s not what this boat is about. Plenty of room to prepare a quick meal or snacks for friends and family while cruising from one impossibly beautiful island to the next—that’s what this boat is about.

When the day is done and you’ve had all the fun you can, retire to the full beam master stateroom forward, lie down on the queen berth and rest for a while. You’ll need it, the adventure starts again in the morning.
