We’re big fans of Apreamare’s Gozzo line—and a new flagship is well on its way to completion in time for the Cannes Yachting Festival in September. The Gozzo 48 follows design cues from traditional fishing boats built in the Bay of Naples. With their distinctive curved transoms, Apreamare’s beamy, flare-bowed deep-V hulls are known for remarkable maneuverability and a very dry, chop defeating ride.

The 48 will come in two or three stateroom configurations—with a separate shower head for each cabin. The ultra-high-end interior will hold a sizeable dinette, a nearly eight-foot long U-shaped sofa and a fully equipped galley. And check out the amazingly appointed master suite. Apreamare actually offers an outboard power configuration for its smaller Gozzo 35, but this bigger model will rely on efficient Volvo Penta IPS or shaft drives. We’ll have a report as soon as we’re able to step aboard.
