That’s 1,000,000 watt hours or 1,000 kilowatt hours of electricity stored in the power packs of Scalia Yachts’ new 57 “Deep Silence” electron-powered weekender. For a little comparison, a Ford F150 Lightning Long Range battery pack holds 131 kWh. The two-stateroom 57 is built entirely of carbon fiber, and her twin 400kw engines can push her to a cruising speed of 20 knots and a top speed of 29. We’ll be sea-trialing her next month if all goes according to plan, and we’re looking mighty forward to diving deeper into her range and performance.
