“Tiara has always had a slightly fishy flair on their cabin cruisers in the way of the basic necessities. Those boats said, sure, plop a rod in the holder and drop a bait in or set a flat line for casual high-speed trolling while you’re on your way from point A to point B. And they’ve done a great job at that: I can recall captaining an older model (then new) for a family who wanted a little help fishing. What comfort compared with the stripped-down Down Easts! And yet, the cockpit was just functional enough to be a dignified dance floor. Tournament anglers might turn their noses up at that boat—and maybe this 56 LS, too—but anyone right up to the most itinerant amateur offshore anglers doesn’t have much room to complain.”
