With new launches and debuts from builders far and wide, there’s no shortage of boats to choose from for those who have made sportfishing their passion.
The latest launches from Viking, the 42SC (sport coupe) and the 42ST (sport tower) will be on the docks. These two may be smaller than some other Viking models but they have the same attention to detail and passionate performance that their big sisters have.
As one of his first tasks, designer Robert Ullberg recently modified the ride on the Bertram 54. This serious sportfishing boat is designed to catch big fish and manage big seas with ease.
Spencer Yachts will debut the 87-foot convertible Bangarang at this year’s show. This is a big-time sportfisher that will top out at 45 knots thanks to twin 2,600-horsepower MTU M94s, according to the builder.
