A downeast with a livewell, tackle storage, and rocket launcher rodholders defines class and sport right down the middle.

MJM made its name building downeast express cruisers in Massachusetts, but a move south to North Carolina led to a demand for a boat with fishing capabilities, and MJM has delivered with its new 38RS, which is every bit as fishable as it is family friendly—without losing a touch of class.

With a full cabin and head and twin 300- or 400-horsepower Mercury power, we envision the 38RS checking a lot of boxes.

Keep an eye out for a future boat test in Power & Motoryacht, and look for the 38RS to be available in 2026.
