Targa 37 Walkthrough

Family Friendly Cruiser from Finland

An evolution of a seriously strong Finnish cruiser, the Targa 37 is the type of boat that might appeal to Axopar owners who want to go cruising for longer periods of time.

Dan’s First Impression: From the same part of the world that gave us Axopar, the Targa 37 feels like what that category of boat grows up to be when it’s time to move out of the house and go cruising for longer stretches of time.

An evolution of an exceptionally popular predecessor of the same name, the 37 offers just the right mix of European styling without being overly exotic or out of place in U.S. waters. A versatile layout makes this boat perfect for a family of four and perhaps a loyal midsize dog. O.K., I’m talking about me. For the way I go boating, I find this model very appealing. Watch the above video and you might just feel the same way.

One of the lucky ones who was born into boating, Dan grew up cruising aboard his family’s 33 Egg Harbor. Marinas and boatyards served as summer school and the foundation for a career on the water. When not chasing stories for Power & Motoryacht magazine he can be found cruising Long Island Sound with his wife, sons, and faithful (furry) first mate Salty.
