The number of yachts it is possible to see during the Monaco Yacht Show is staggering. And without the aid of well-kept notes, sometimes boats start to blend together. So it’s the bits that stand out that stick in your memory.

For instance, when I walked into the master stateroom on the 45-meter Helix, Feadship’s fifth semi-custom F45 to launch, the first thing I noticed was the light. It was coming from all around: the massive hull windows and the giant skylight that stretched from above the master bed to above the giant bathtub.

There’s no doubt that the rest of the yacht is stunning. The Feadship-described Nautical interior with light walls trimmed in dark woods is elegant and comfortable. The outdoor spaces are well laid out with the right combination of shade and sun. But honestly? I doubt there’d be much better place to relax than, with the boat anchored in a secluded cay, sitting in that bathtub and a thousand tiny stars above you.
