We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.
The Aspen 38 is only 38 feet long and yet she’s got three staterooms—including both king- and queen-size berths—and two heads. (Pretty sweet, huh?) But the 38 isn’t just notable for spacious decks. She’ll be able to cruise along on her high-speed asymmetrical hulls near 17 knots, speeds at which it is hoped a future owner can take her from San Francisco Bay to the Channel Islands in about two days, according to Aspen’s Nick Graf. Notably, the boat will only have a single 380-horsepower engine, situated in her larger, starboard hull.
