to the waterways of the United States.
The design brief of the 450 Coupe seems to depend on natural light,
as shown by large hullside windows as well as expanses of glass around the pilothouse.
In lieu of a cockpit, the Bavaria 450 Coupe trades up to a huge sunpad and enormous swim platform.
The deckhouse is positioned asymmetrically to give better access to the starboard side.
The more glass, the better as the whole aft bulkhead of the house consists of a huge sliding window
and a door all made of glass with rugged metal frames.
The indoor-outdoor connection happens most easily through that large aft window.
Comfort is engineered into this companion settee.
Warm lighting is complemented by a huge sunroof over the helm.
The inviting saloon and acommodations are down the centerline companionway.
Gauges and a compass are perched closer to the helmsman’s line of sight to aid in safe, smart operation.
A galley and dinette belowdecks welcome the complement
while tipping the hat to Bavaria’s sailing heritage.
The forward stateroom makes the most of the large forward volume in the hull.
The forward head compartment is split with the shower to starboard and a sink and MSD to port.
On the two-stateroom layout, a section drops into the athwartships berth
to make two singles into a spacious double.
The optional pair of 435-horsepower Volvo Penta diesels matched to IPS pod drives
power the Bavaria 450 Coupe to a top speed of 31 knots.
The onboard space comes in part from a 14-foot 6-inch beam.
