We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.

“Right now this boat’s in its infancy of design for a potential client who has a megayacht and wants a specialized tender. He sat down with us and his captains and came up with some ideas. I loved what he had to say, but wasn’t quite sure what to do about it. He said, ‘What I don’t want is an El Camino. I don’t want something that’s not a truck, but not a car either. We wrestled with that for a while, and then one day I woke up in the middle of the night and said ‘I know! He wants a bowrider!’ This design is in the owners’ hands for review right now.
