We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.

In Stuart, Florida, Larry Bonadeo of Bonadeo Boatworks is known in boating circles for turning out high-quality, fast, good-looking boats. One he has on the boards right now that’s really interesting is a 47 Walkaround. “It’s our biggest yet,” he told me over the phone. “And an inboard at that. She’ll probably have [Volvo Penta] IPS 950s, it’ll be a lot of power for that boat. On top of that, she’ll also have a tower, which helps make her a serious fish boat too.” The 47 Walkaround sounds like she may be giving the fish and Bonadeo’s competitors, a run for it once she splashes.
