Delta Marine 66-Meter
Delta Marine, the Seattle, Washington-based builder of megayachts, recently began construction on a 66-meter (215-foot) build. The boat is being built for an American family who sought out the builder for its renowned attention to detail, firm grasp of luxurious aesthetics, and reputation for building vessels that are safe. To that last point, the 66-meter will have an ice-strengthened steel hull that should keep her passengers resting easy no matter where they decide to sail her.
The yacht’s interior will be marked by a traditional nautical ambiance. Of note should be the grand foyers and elegantly fluted columns, which call to mind a different time, when luxury was exalted. Further features include a stateroom with an office, and private outdoor space on the upper deck. On the main deck will be six more cabins with outstanding views, as well as a grand main saloon and theater.
Outside there will be no shortage of top-notch entertainment spaces. Most notable is the fold-down beach cabana at the stern outfitted with a bar and sauna perfect for relaxation.
For those looking for a bit more adventure, the 66 has something else in store: a garage chock full of toys to keep everybody busy, including a fleet of PWCs, RIBs, and a 28-foot tender for shuttling to and fro while at anchor.
The 66-meter’s 50,000-gallon fuel capacity will provide a 5,750-mile range at a nearly 14-mph cruise, meaning she’s fully transoceanic. And while we’re sure she’ll be visiting some glamorous ports of call, with all she has to offer onboard, there still may be little reason to disembark.
