September 2014

We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.

If you know anything about catamarans, you know their two biggest attributes are stability and onboard space. And the new PC52 from Horizon shouldn’t disappoint in either regard. She’ll have three staterooms, an airy saloon, and a galley big enough for the chef and the sous chef to do the Charleston while waiting for the corn to boil. Horizon’s Elise Moffitt told me the company expects this boat to be a “can’t miss” product, and that she will be ideal for cruising to the Bahamas with friends—rough seas be damned thanks to her twin-hull design—and serving as a comfortable base of operations for snorkeling, fishing, and exploring. Sounds OK to me.
