We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.
No you don’t have to check the spine of this magazine. It’s the current issue. It’s just that the same owner that built the 77-foot Blank Check that launched in June 2013 is re-upping, and building a fully custom Carolina sportfish that’s 7 feet longer, and has improved stateroom and engine-room amenities. Via e-mail Jarrett Bay President Randy Ramsey told me that the owners of the previous Blank Check contacted him soon after she splashed and wanted to commission another. “We enjoy having the opportunity to build relationships like that with our customers. It’s a special thing when your customers become part of your ‘family,’ so to speak. But here at Jarrett Bay that tends to happen a lot,” he says.
