Anybody who has ever had the pleasure of cruising the British Virgin Islands knows that the island chain offers some of the finest boating anywhere in the world. And what better way to explore those islands than in a vessel that was specifically designed to run their waters? Enter the MarineMax 484.
The 484 was designed in conjunction with J&J Boat Works to be an ideal vessel for chartering, and as such has many features that will keep her guests smiling. One layout lends itself well to the charter business, offering four separate en suite staterooms. This means privacy will be of little concern to those onboard. The saloon can be filled with tunes thanks to the high-performance Fusion stereo system onboard. Meanwhile a shaded seating area forward of the saloon makes for an excellent place to hang out, whether underway or twisting on a mooring in the easterly trades.
Up top, a U-shaped dinette aft will be the center of the action when dining onboard, while a centrally located helm allows the captain to be part of the conversation without sacrificing his line of sight.
A MarineMax 484 has been available for charter in the BVI since March of this year, and hull No. 2 is already moving out to fresh territory. Be on the lookout for Capt. Bill Pike’s upcoming story about that voyage.
