We tracked down the inside scoop on what boatbuilders are up to next.

Though plans for the Marlow ME 49E were originally announced at the 2013 Ft. Lauderdale International Boat Show, the company has kept the boat somewhat hush hush since, perhaps as a way to build anticipation for her grand debut at the 2015 Miami show. What we do know is that the boat will come with either two or three staterooms, and will also have Marlow’s “third-generation radius transom” which allows for a larger lazarette and cockpit. Other than that, I could guess—judging from her predecessors—that she’ll have near-superyacht levels of fit and finish, and a very capable hull, but one of these days I really will need to see about it for myself.
