Intellian GX60 Satellite-Broadband System

The Intellian GX60 is a satellite-broadband system that uses Inmarsat’s Ka-band Global Xpress service. Global Xpress is a new high-speed broadband service that will provide global coverage designed to offer consistent download speeds of 50 Mbps and 5 Mbps uplink speeds.
The GX60 antenna has a high-gain reflector and frequency-tuned radome for efficient communication with Ka-band satellites. The antenna’s gyro-free satellite-search function can lock onto satellites without input from the boat’s gyrocompass.
Automatic satellite and beam switching mean seamless coverage when crossing between coverage regions, while low-elevation capability to -20 degrees allows consistent connectivity at higher latitudes.
The BelowDeck Unit controls the antenna and has a built-in modem function, Wi-Fi to connect to onboard devices, and eight network ports to simplify installation. Intellian’s Aptus software configures the antenna system with one-touch commissioning and offers access through a mobile app.
