The Vexilar SonarPhone T-Pod is a castable combination of fishfinder transducer and Wi-Fi hot spot that lets the user target data gathering and see what lurks below the surface on the screen on a compatible smartphone.
Because it becomes a Wi-Fi hot spot, the user doesn’t even need access to cell-phone service to use the T-Pod. Simply access the Wi-Fi and use the SonarPhone app (free to Apple iOS for iPhone or iPad and Android users) to dial in the fish.
The T-Pod has an impact-resistant chassis that’s ready to cast and houses a water-activated transducer that shoots a 125 kilohertz signal in a 30-degree beam. The 3.7-volt lithium-ion battery in the T-Pod can run for four hours on a single charge and recharges on a USB cable.
