Viking 74 Set to Debut

Viking will introduce its new (and second-generation) 74 at the 2024 Fort Lauderdale Boat Show. Although Viking offered a (moderately) slower 74 between 2004 and 2008, the 74C comes in on the heels of the yard’s recently retired 72, which topped out at a staggering 45 knots and saw a run of 75 hulls.

Drawing Board: Viking 90

Viking Announces New 90-Foot Flagship. Seven years after the 92 took to the seas, Viking reimagines its largest offering.

New Boat: Viking 54

The 54 proves that demand for Viking’s bread-and-butter model range persists despite strange times.

Tested: Mag Bay 42

The Cali-based, father-son team of Mike and Barrett Howarth jump from building center consoles to sportfishermen with the Mag Bay 42.

Drawing Board: Wheeler 38

Wes Wheeler assembled a dream team to design and construct a modern version of the world’s most famous sportfisherman, Ernest Hemingway’s Pilar.

Tested: Hatteras GT59

Built from the successive convertibles that came before it, the Hatteras GT59 continues the hard-fishing tradition.
