Cruising the Back Cove 34O

Join us for a cruise aboard the Back Cove 34O, the first Back Cove Yachts designed from the ground up for outboard propulsion.

A Different Down East

Back Cove’s new 34O (the ‘O’ stands for outboards) has been designed for adventure and family friendly cruising. For a design departure as radical as this one, we knew we had to do something special: to that end, we took this decidedly Down East-built boat for a cruise through the waterways of the Chesapeake. Coupled with the builder’s teak woodworking accents and a seaworthy hull are a shallow draft (less than 3 feet) and twin 300-hp Yamahas that are perfect for exploring the Chesapeake’s shoals and beaches. But as you’ll see, the 34O is equally at home on the bay as it is in the ocean.

It’s a different Down East.

For Randy Ramsey, building the world’s most iconic sportfishers isn’t that complicated. Produce a kick-ass boat, treat people right, repeat.

Fast, stylish, and addictively fun to drive, this boat may look like a spaceship straight out of Star Wars, but at heart it might just be the ultimate dayboat.
